Day 1

Planning Your Space

  • Function: Identifying the function will guide every other decision.
  • Physical Limitations: You will be guided by structural limitations These factors will affect layout options.
  • Furniture: You’ll be thinking about furniture alignments and aesthetics within  your space. 
  • Size & Flow: We will be discussing the size and flow withing your space.
  • Time Schedule: We’ll be talking about time schedules and their importance.
  • Budget: We’ll examine the importance of budgets and what they mean.

Creating a Mood Board

  • Space Alignment: Layout your mood board logically by gathering images for function, gathering swatches for style and adding colour samples.
  • Textures & Patterns: Incorporate images or samples to get a feel of the  textures and patterns you would like to use within your space to get a tactile dimension. All of this will inspire a visual interest.
  • Final Outcome: We will have a discussion on how the day has helped in formulating your ideas into a cohesive plan for your project.
